Ballroom Glitz are no ordinary showband. Besides their high standard of musicianship, superb harmonies and entertaining stage show, this band has something more. This is no 'cynical' tribute type act. Ballroom Glitz captures the true spirit of the time, the fun, the fashion and all brought to you with a genuine affection for the 70's era.

Ballroom Glitz uses no backing tapes - even their full-length version of Bohemian Rhapsody (© Queen) is totally live. Ballroom Glitz uses no sequencers as they try to use authentic instrumentation from the period.

Many of the expected Glam Rock hits are included in their show, but a few well-chosen surprises are thrown in; such as 'Silver Machine' by Hawkwind and 'Wuthering Heights' by Kate Bush. The band has worked with many 'name' acts and attracts media attention and praise wherever they perform.

The year 2001 was a brilliant year for the band! Everybody comments on their present line up, Richie has proved to be a very popular addition to Ballroom Glitz, not only because of his great Guitar playing/vocals, he seems to have his own fan club among the girls out there! Ballroom Glitz also have a large pool of 'deps' who keep the show rollin' in the event of one of the band members is unable to make a show. It is really encouraging that so many fans and members of the public generally, have started to comment on how good it is to see a REAL, LIVE BAND.

Ballroom Glitz, have undertaken Corporate events, which has established them as a surefire party centerpiece to any promotion or function. - With more and more Rock venues and festival appearances added to our already burgeoning diary of dates at Hotel dinner-dances, clubs, and cabaret, we are firmly established as THE universal Seventies party spectacular !

The band are in heavy demand and this was shown when they completed an exciting after gig party at Uriah Heep's show at Shepherds Bush Empire and an unbelievable atmosphere at their "10 GLORIOUS YEARS" Anniversary Gig at Wolverley Memorial Hall On December 27th 2001.

The band would like to say a big thank you to the thousands of fans who turned up and 'danced in the streets' at their Jubilee show outside Kidderminster Town Hall on Monday June 3rd. They are still stunned by the huge turnout and the amazing atmosphere! The band really do appreciate the support of all their fans out there who are largely responsible for our continued sensational seventies success!!
