Gary Ryan’s tribute to the legendary Neil Diamond

Gary has received international recognition for his ‘tribute act’ to Neil Diamond.  He receives fan mail from the official Neil Diamond fan club!

Gary shot to fame when he appeared on Granada TV’s “Stars In Their Eyes”.  His uncanny vocal similarity has earned him a place on the pages of magazines & newspapers across the world.  After touring New Zealand they asked him back for a further two years running.

Gary’s overwhelming popularity from when he first appeared, and won his heat on the smash hit T.V. series “Stars in Their Eyes” after which he went on to win a proud second place in the Grand Final.  He returned to the T.V. screens for several further appearances on special “Stars in Their Eyes” programs.  Below are some of the magic moments captured when Gary was on performing on T.V.

An introduction to Gary

Gary’s first love was music, and during these times that was where he ambitions lay. Gary’s first appearance was as a singer at the young age of 14 on a holiday camp.

Gary soon taught himself to play the guitar and joined a band at the age of 17. Between the ages of 18-23 he performed solo and in various bands on the road, performing first in the U.K. then travelling abroad where he continued to sing in Hotels & Bars.

On his return to the UK, Gary went on to join the touring show “The Great Legends Of Rock”, which between 93-95 performed a theatre & concert hall tour of the U.K., subsequently the tour performed in New Zealand twice, and also Ireland.

Gary quickly became familiar within the music industry & performed before various celebrity audiences at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Hilton Hotels & the Chesa Vegria club in St. Moritz to name just a few! (he counts Ivana Trump as one of his biggest admirers).

More recently Gary has enjoyed two extremely successful summer seasons in Blackpool with “The Legends Show”. Performing at the North Pier in 1999 and at the Central Pier in 2000. In between appearances in Blackpool, Gary performs throughout the U.K. for both private & corporate functions and also performs on The Royal Caribbean Cruise liners.

Gary has acquired publishing deals for a number of his own compositions, some of which will be appearing on his forthcoming C.D. Wherever & whenever Gary performs one of his own songs he has the audiences flocking to the dressing room to find out where they can obtain a copy !

His influences today include Neil Diamond, Bryan Adams, Garth Brooks, Colin Raye & John Michael Montgomery among others.
