The harp is the most perfect instrument to have playing at your wedding, creating for you the most romantic atmosphere, with it’s soft evocative tones mingling amongst your guests; as well as presenting a stunning visual spectacle.
Ruth Faber is certainly one of the great harpists playing today. Her training and extensive professional experience has given her an almost inexhaustible repertoire, from the traditional and classical to the informal and modern.
Having trained at The Royal College Of Music, Ruth went on to play, with great acclaim, with The Royal Philharmonic, The London Philharmonic, The London Symphony, The Philharmonic and BBC Symphony Orchestras, some of the world's great orchestras. Ruth also plays for a number of opera and ballet companies such as Glyndebourne and the Royal Ballet. Solo work finds Ruth playing for BBC 1 and 2, BBC Radio 3, as well as special performances for Her ~ Majesty The Queen and members of the Royal Family.

This all seems a far cry from your wedding day, but Ruth's extensive experience in playing for events and functions is just as impressive. She is a well-known figure at The Ritz, Savoy, Waldorf, Park Lane and Grosvenor House Hotels. Ruth was in fact the first harpist to hold a residency at Harrods.
The harp - has taken Ruth on a number of adventures as well. She has travelled around the world playing in some very exotic locations for British Airways and has also appeared on behalf of Christian Dior, Pirelli Calendars and Jaguar.
Ruth is very happy to play for you during your wedding ceremony, at your reception or throughout the meal. When discussing your requirements, Ruth will draw upon her wealth of knowledge and expertise to provide for you a unique selection of music which will quite literally, captivate and enchant both yourselves and your guests.

Light Repertoire: Ruth was the first harpist to hold the residency at Harrods and also travelled around the world playing for British Airways promotions. Regular appearances playing for weddings and functions at London’s Ritz, Savoy, Waldorf, Grosvenor House, Park Lane, Kensington Garden, Tower and Brown’s hotels. Soloist at the launch of Christian Dior’s Poison perfume and two launches of the Pirelli Calendar.
